Loads of Rangers fans have been running the rule over Sunday’s devastating defeat, and they’re not too happy with Daniel Candeias.

It was the third and final Old Firm of the season on Sunday, and it did not disappoint for entertainment.

Odsonne Edouard gave Celtic a deserved lead shortly before the half-hour mark, and the game then swung completely in the Bhoys’ favour courtesy of Alfredo Morelos.

The Gers’ talisman was given his marching orders after lashing out at Scott Brown, and it was not until the hour mark that Ryan Kent equalised with his side’s first shot on target.

Steven Gerrard’s side were far better after the break, although that’s not saying much considering the first half shambles, but fans are absolutely crucifying Candeias for his part in the performance.

The Light Blues haven’t exactly been perfect this season as a number of things have let them down, but when Steven Gerrard has got the best out of his side they’ve been almost unstoppable.

Indeed, one big void that needs to be filled in the summer is in the No.10 role, as Josh Windass’ departure has left a hole which has let Rangers down at times in the current campaign.

However, Steven Gerrard has already found the perfect playmaker but he just hasn’t realised it yet, as Greg Docherty is set to rock up at Ibrox in the summer once his loan spell expires at English League One side Shrewsbury Town.

The Scotsman has produced nine goals and 11 assists in all competitions in England. He usually operates as a central midfielder but he’s managed to score five goals and has provided two assists in 12 appearances in the No.10 role.

He’s developed massively at Meadow Lane with his passing game and finishing ability coming on leaps and bounds, so he could be the man to fill Rangers’ current creativity void in the final third.

Rangers fans will be absolutely delighted with Docherty’s displays at his loan club this season and they’ll be extremely delighted to see him in action next season. Indeed, supporters have been crying out for a playmaker and Gerrard is too (as per Scottish Sun), after failing to get the job done back in the January transfer window.

Of course, using him in the No.10 role next season would also save the club millions as they won’t have to splash out on bringing someone in. This would allow the club to invest in other areas as they look to dethrone Celtic.

Luton Town fans have lavished praise on Jack Stacey after the defender won League One’s PFA Fans Player of the Month award for March.

The 23-year-old has been ever-present for Luton since sitting on the bench for the first game of the League One season, a 1-0 loss to Portsmouth.

Since that defeat, Luton have lost just three times and have been unbeaten since a 3-2 defeat to Barnsley in October.

Stacey has been integral to that run and was in particularly fine form in March.

The defender played a total of six times with Luton beating Rochdale, Bradford, Doncaster and Bristol Rovers and drawing with Plymouth Argyle and Gillingham.

Stacey scored against both Bradford and the Gills while laying on assists in the wins over Doncaster and Bristol.

And he has now been rewarded for those displays as Luton continue their seemingly inevitable march to their coronation as League One champions. The club are currently seven points clear of second-placed Sunderland.

Manchester United midfielder Fred struggled to make a positive impact during his side’s 3-0 Champions League quarter-final second leg defeat to Barcelona at the Camp Nou on Tuesday, and Liverpool fans on Twitter were quick to have their say on the Brazilian’s display.

The Red Devils signed the 26-year-old in a £47m deal from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer, but he has only recently started to make an impact having visibly struggled to adapt to the English game in his first few months with the club.

While he was named on the team-sheet again by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his latest performance against the La Liga leaders was hardly one to write home about.

Barca talisman Lionel Messi nut-megged him brilliantly before curling into the far corner for the opening goal of the night in the 16th minute, and things didn’t get any better from that point.

Liverpool supporters couldn’t help but have their say via social media as two of their midfield summer additions in Fabinho and Naby Keita themselves are beginning to come good.

According to the French sports publication L’Equipe (via Daily Mail), Paul Pogba has told his Manchester United teammates that he wants a summer move away from Old Trafford.

What’s the word, then?

The report has claimed that, despite the permanent appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the departure of Jose Mourinho, Pogba has made his mind up about his future and informed his comrades of his decision.

Former club Juventus are said to be interested in the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner and he is also open to a transfer to another European giant in Real Madrid.

The 26-year-old moved from the Old Lady to the Red Devils in a deal that shocked world football back in summer 2016, having transferred in the other direction just four years earlier and made a name for himself as a central midfielder on the continent.

Pogba’s exit would be good news for Jesse Lingard

As much as Ole will want to keep hold of his most important player in Pogba, if he wants to go, United shouldn’t stand in his way in the summer transfer window.

And while the exit of the France man may seem like bad news for the club when it happens, it would be good news for one of their more dispensable players.

Fellow homegrown talent Jesse Lingard currently struggles to put together a decent and consistent run of games at his boyhood club despite his overwhelming ability.

Pogba leaving would help to change the situation for his fellow 26-year-old, who quite clearly has the creative capabilities to step right into his shoes.

Lingard, valued at £36 million by Transfermarkt, has impressed in central attacking midfield before and should be ready to move to the role on a permanent basis as the Frenchman’s replacement from within.

Featuring in teams alongside and growing up with Pogba in the youth set-up at Man United, the Mancunian and England international knows his game inside out and exactly how to emulate his style.

The current attitude of United’s number six could be the cause of all of Solskjaer’s team’s mentality problems and getting rid of him would be a positive move towards steering the club in the right direction, allowing Lingard to become a deadly star at The Theatre of Dreams.

Leeds fans have bashed John Cross’ article in The Mirror after he labelled the club’s season a ‘glorious failure’ should they fail in their quest for promotion.

Cross criticised Marcelo Bielsa in his piece saying that the board’s choice to spend big on a manager rather than the playing squad may prove to be a costly mistake.

Fans took issue with The Mirror journalist’s synopsis that the season would be a failure if they don’t go up again.

The Whites have already secured a play-off spot just one year after finishing 13th in the Championship, which proves that huge progress has been made.

Bielsa has wholly transformed the club with largely the same squad that was nowhere near promotion last term.

To judge the Argentine’s first season at Elland Road as a failure would be incredibly short-sighted, the new manager has exceeded all expectations during his first year and has inspired optimism throughout the Yorkshire club.
